Stout

Stool

The Stout Stool provides a small but sturdy lift provided by its weight and stocky form.

An early foray into woodworking and joinery, the Stout Stool was produced with a limited toolkit. With no access to a jointer, planer, table saw or miter saw, its components were cut on a bandsaw and refined with hand tools.

As an learning project, mistakes were made in its production. Rather than hide them, these mistakes were celebrated by correcting them with contrasting wood
